Agandau means "silver and gold" and is taken from the two symbols for these elements from the periodic table. It has no relationship to the Hobbit or the Lord of the Rings although it does sound similar.

I have been breeding shorthaired Bengal's under the Zhuzhy prefix for about three or four years and longhairs for about 3 years. Bengal's are my hobby within a hobby. I have had a soft spot for the Longhair's since the day I set eyes on Ziggy at about 7 weeks old. He is the first longhaired Bengal that I had ever seen. I was hooked. I am now working with other breeders to get the longhaired Bengal recognised as a seperate breed. The breed name that we are hoping to use is Cashmere
